Dear Valued Patients,
Please join me in welcoming Dr. Victor Cheng to our dental practice. As I move toward retirement, after a long and thoughtful search, I couldn’t be more confident in transitioning your care to him. I’ve been truly impressed with his training, professionalism, family values, diverse skill set, and caring heart. My wife, Nancy, has been astounded by our overwhelming similarities – he is the perfect fit for a smooth transition. I will continue working part-time to care for our current patients and to fill in when needed.
Dr. Cheng is deeply committed to providing the highest level of personalized dental care. He has advanced training in implants, cosmetic dentistry, and TMJ therapy, and has earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry—an honor held by only about 6% of general dentists. As he assumes ownership of the practicing ice and begins working in May, you can count on him to continue the same comfortable, personalized care you’ve come to expect. I’m also pleased that my outstanding team will be staying on.
Dr. Cheng was born in Huntsville, Alabama, and graduated from Auburn University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. He, his wife Christine, and their two-year-old son Silas are relocating to the Charlotte area from Birmingham. He spent over six years in private practice, building deep relationships with his patients. Outside the office, he enjoys all things sports – basketball, football, ultimate frisbee, and cheering on the Auburn Tigers. Christine and Victor are avid travelers, who love to meet new people along the way. He is also an active member of his church, where he serves as an elder.
As I reflect on the past 44 years, I am grateful for the wonderful patients I’ve been blessed to serve. Thank you for your trust, loyalty, and friendship—it has meant more than I can express. Please join me and my team in welcoming Dr. Cheng. I know he will take great care of you.
Sincerely,
Scott A. Young, DDS
